Terms and Conditions
This document sets out the terms and conditions of the agreement between Mansleys Mutts and “The Owner” who wishes to engage Mansleys Mutts services.
1.Relationship and Responsibilities
1.1. It is expressly understood that the Owner retains the services of Mansleys Mutts as an Independent Contractor and not as an employee. Mansleys Mutts agrees to perform the agreed services in an attentive, reliable and caring manner and the Owner undertakes to provide all necessary information to assist in this performance.
1.2. During dog sitting the owner agrees to leave the property in a clean and liveable condition during any stay undertaken by Mansleys Mutts
1.3. The owner agrees to provide Mansleys Mutts with full access to the property and any other required properties requested during the time under Mansleys Mutts care.
2. Payments
2.1. The Owner agrees to pay Mansleys Mutts the amount agreed during the initial phone conversation/meeting. All updated prices are available to the public on our website www.mansleysmutts.co.uk.
2.2. The owner agrees to fund any additional fees as agreed with Mansleys Mutts, payable no later than 24hrs following the end of the service. Additional fees may include the purchase of necessary items for the care of the pet(s), including but not limited to pet food, cleaning supplies, transportation, unexpected visits and emergency expenses for health care. Mansleys Mutts Will retain and submit receipts as proof.
2.3. Dog Sits require a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your requested dates. Please note, services are not confirmed until this deposit has been paid. A further 25% non-refundable is required no later than 30 days commencing the sit, to confirm the services of Mansleys Mutts. Please note, non-payment of this 25% will cancel your sitting service and Mansleys Mutts reserves the right to retain the non-refundable deposits by reason of reserving your date. The remaining 50% of the balance is due within 24hrs upon the owners return to the property.
2.4. A full invoice will be provided by Mansleys Mutts, highlighting any payments made/ due and required deadlines. All amounts are payable via cash or bank transfer to Mrs Sarah M Mansley
2.5. Late payments will result in a 10% charge per month until the debt is paid.
3. Duration
3.1. During Overnight stays the sitter is allowed to leave the owners Property for a maximum of 4 consecutive hours and up to 8hrs per 24hr period.
3.2. The onus shall be on the Owner to confirm their return and resume care of both their property and their pet(s) prior to the final day agreed at the meet and greet. Failure to do so will result in an additional fee of £10 per hour if available or contact the emergency contact to take over.
4. Weather
4.1. During Abnormal weather conditions walks may be cancelled, shortened or automatically moved to a pop in service only to ensure the safety of both your Dog(s) and Mansleys Mutts.
5.Cancellation or Termination
5.1. Walks require a 48hr notice, failure to do so will result in a cancellation charge of £10 per cancelled walk.
5.2. Failure by the Owner to cancel Dog sits by giving the minimum notice required or any cancellation during recognized holiday periods will result in loss of their initial deposit.
5.3. Should any pet become aggressive or dangerous, Mansleys Mutts may place the Dog into a kennel or animal care facility at the Owner’s expense if the Guardian or emergency contact is unable or unwilling to assume responsibility for the pet.
5.4. Any wrongful or misleading information in the Registration Form may constitute a breach of terms of this Contract and be grounds for instant termination.
5.5. Termination under the circumstances described in 5.2, 5.3 or 5.4 above shall not entitle the Owner to any refunds nor relief of any outstanding payments due.
5.7. Regular clients (At least 1 walk per week) must pay a retention fee of 50% during holidays in order to guarantee their dogs regular slot on return. Failure to do so may result in you losing your spot.
6. Liability
6.1. Mansleys Mutts accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Owner’s property as terms of this agreement.
6.2. Mansleys Mutts shall not be liable for any mishap of whatever nature which may befall a pet or caused by a pet who has unsupervised access to the outdoors.
6.3. The owner shall be liable for all damages resulting from an injury to the employee of Mansleys Mutts caused by the pet as well as damage to the Owner’s property.
6.4. Mansleys Mutts is released from all liability related to transporting pet(s) to and from any veterinary clinic or kennel, the medical treatment of the pet(s) and the expense related to any of the above mentioned.
7. Emergencies
7.1. Mansleys Mutts is authorised to transport your pet(s) to and from the veterinary clinic for treatment or to request “on-site” treatment if deemed necessary while under our care. If you cannot be reached in case of an emergency, Mansleys Mutts shall act on your behalf to authorise any treatment excluding euthanasia. For treatment up to £1,000.
7.2. The owner will assume full responsibility upon their return for payment and/or reimbursement for veterinary services rendered up to the above stated amount.
8. Security
8.1. Mansleys Mutts warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and to return them to the Owner at the end of the contract period or immediately on demand.
8.2. All other personal information and contact information will be kept in a secure, compliant manner solely for the use of Mansleys Mutts and will be destroyed after 1 year if not previously requested by the owner in accordance with GDPR laws.
9. Whole Agreement
This Contract constitute the sole and entire agreement between the parties with regard to the subject matter hereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained therein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and agreed by both parties.
By requiring Mansleys mutts services you have agreed to this terms and condition in entirety.
